French morality and Sudanese murder

Those virtuous French. First, they oppose liberating Iraq from Arabia's mini-Stalin, now they are opposing sanctions against the Sudan government for supporting the Janjaweed militia that seeks to "ethnically cleanse" Darfur province of its blacks.

See this BBC article for details, including this bon mot: France led opposition to US moves at the UN over Iraq. As was the case in Iraq, it also has significant oil interests in Sudan.

In other words, it IS all about oil . . . for the French.
