The press is a train wreck

Here's the "no kidding" observation of the year, courtesy the Media Research Center:

The media “wants Kerry to win” and so “they’re going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic” and “there’s going to be this glow about” them, Evan Thomas, the Assistant Managing Editor of Newsweek, admitted on Inside Washington over the weekend.

Thanks for that insight, Evan. No one could have figured that out without your information. You know, those fawning articles in Newsweek and Time, and the happydaysarehereagain covers attempting to portray Kerry as anything other than the dour, gloomy Eeyore he's been for the past 20 years of his political life would never have tipped anyone off that the press is rooting for Kerry.
