Swift Boat Vets, Ad #2

The title of this post links to the second Swift Boat vet advertisement against John Kerry. This one is MUCH more effective than the first.

I'm on record saying that I thought the first ad was not that good because all it had was a bunch of vets calling Kerry a liar.

This ad has much more -- interspersed with excerpts from John Kerry's testimony TO Congress as a member of Vietnam Veterans Against the War in 1971, wherein Kerry called US servicemen rapists and murderers, are reminiscences from three vets who served in Vietnam and describe the effects such testimony by one of their own had on them. One mentions that, as part of North Vietnam's prisoner torture, the commies made the prisoners sign statements "admitting" that they were war criminals. More poignant and more descriptive, Swiftee Ad #2 explains WHY the vets felt betrayed and WHY Kerry is untrustworthy by pointing to FACTS.

UPDATE: Right Wing News ("The New Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ad is out and believe it or not, it's even more devastating than the first one") and Captain Ed ("The strategy of the Swiftvets is nothing short of brilliant") agree with me.
