NJ corruption -- why McGreevey resigned

John Fund describes the state of the State in New Jersey -- party bosses, centralized power in the executive, McGreevey's misuse of state funds, the extreme power of the lobbyists, McGreevey's attempt to become the Gray Davis of the east coast, etc.

New Jersey's system is too easily corruptible and McGreevey grew up within that system. That state needs its own tough-talking Hollywood conservative to come in and clean up the joint like Schwarzenegger is doing in California. Too bad there aren't enough conservatives in Hollywood to go around.
