YAWN, Kerry/Edwards
So rich man John Kerry picked rich man John Edwards as his running mate to make the Democratic presidential ticket in 2004 probably the richest pairing in history. Edwards has to be the most callow VP nominee since Dan Quayle. Edwards has no record of accomplishment, has been in the Senate for barely one term and did not run for reelection because his own ratings in his home state are so bad. All Kerry did was make the political and calculated choice, not a bold choice, not a wise choice and not a choice based on character or principle. Thus, for Kerry, his pick was consistent with the rest of his decision-making.
