Washington Gubernatorial Update
In a turnaround, Democrat Christine Gregoire apparently leads by 8 votes after the King County hand recount. Official announcement due at 1530 PST. This is without considering the 723 'extra' ballots found. If true, expect the Republicans to fight this one as Rossi led by 261 votes, then 42 after a machine recount. Note King County is heavily Democratic and its elections board are Democrats. Also that after a recount of the 38 other counties in Washington, Rossi's lead was largely unchanged; 49 vs. 42 votes as I indicated here. Even though King County is 900,000 votes this 'turnaround' seems mighty suspicious.
