With friends like these, why buy diamonds?

Gotta love the Dutch:

Dutch airline KLM plane on a direct flight from Amsterdam to Mexico was forced to turn back after US authorities barred it from entering [US] airspace because it was carrying two unwanted passengers.

The plane, which had been carrying 287 passengers, had not been scheduled to land in the United States but needed to fly through US airspace to pass from Canada to Mexico.

Uh, as CNN made clear, those "unwanted passengers" are on the terrorist watch list, a fact the AFP article quoted above (and linked in the title) somehow did not seem fit to mention.

Of course, the terrorist-connected passengers were able to walk away, no arrest, once the KLM flight landed back in Amsterdam.

Lovely.
