More sad news. The man indelibly linked to the role of Superman, Christopher Reeve, died yesterday at 52 from a heart attack caused by "a serious systemic infection from a pressure wound, a common complication for people living with paralysis." Thus, eight years after he was thrown from his horse in an equestrian competition, breaking his neck and becoming paralyzed, he ultimately died from a complication related to that injury.
Reeve was all class in dealing with his paralysis and it is safe to assume he gave hope to numerous people with paralysis through his outspoken determination to overcome his own condition.
Rest peacefully.
