Senator John Kerry had the Navy release his military records to the Boston Globe. It was, well, shocking in that there seems to be nothing new or particularly embarrassing other than the grades he got at Yale.
The lack of any substantive new material about Kerry's military career in the documents raises the question of why Kerry refused for so long to waive privacy restrictions.
What was a bit surprising given the Senator's 'reputation' for complexity and nuance and the President's as a cowboy populist was the fact that the records include Kerry's transcripts from Yale which showed him to be an indifferent student at best, with 4 D's freshman year and an overall average of 76 in four years. George Bush, two years younger, had a cumulative average of 77 during his Yale tenure.
Kevin at Wizbang isn't certain the Boston Globe isn't holding something back. I agree. Maybe this was just another monstrous Kerry blunder. But let's go to the transcripts.
