Read the George Will essay linked in the title on the Democrats' complaints against Pres. Bush's proposed Social Security overhaul. The Dems' likening allowing people to control up to four percentage points of their Social Security contributions in broad funds akin to those available to all federal employees means that the Jackasses have now embraced the ideological underpinnings of the command economies, whose systems were revealed as defective by the US victory in the Cold War.
