Spain to Muslims - you will not conquer our churches

When Muslims conquered the Holy Land, they converted existing churches into mosques or destroyed the churches completely. Muslims destroyed synagogues, period. When Jordan held the West Bank, it desecrated holy Jewish and Christian sites. Thus, it is more than heartening to see that Spain's Catholics have rejected a request by that nation's Islamic Council to allow Muslims to pray on Friday nights at the Mezquita, the Cordoba Cathedral, which was a mosque built on the site of a church that Muslims destroyed when they conquered Andalusia.
