Reviving the dead, racist Akaka bill

Peter Kirsanow reports that the Divide Hawaii by Race bill that Daniel Akaka sponsored last year, which died when a cloture vote failed, is likely to be pushed through the Senate this year. The Monk's comments in a post from last June are equally applicable today: this is reprehensible legislation. Hopefully now that the President has knocked the cobwebs off his veto pen, he'll use it again on this rubbish.
