If I'm the president of the RedSawx, I don't let Theo Epstein go. It's simple: he was the primary force behind the RedSawx acquisitions of David Ortiz in 2003 and Orlando Cabrera, Curt Schilling and Keith Foulke in 2004. Those were four of the largest pieces of the RedSawx 2004 WS winning team that broke the Curse and put Baahstin in such a state of elation that the Beantowners probably don't know how badly they honked in this year's postseason. Just look how much the RedSawx struggled without Foulke and a healthy Schilling this year.
The RedSawx loss is the Yankees' gain. Epstein had a knack for routinely making deals like the one Cashman made for Shawn Chacon. Too bad for the Beanheads that Larry Lucchino's fat ego seems to have derailed the Epstein era.
