Byron York details the ground that NY's senior senator has laid down in preparation for obstructing any conservative nominee to the Supreme Court on the basis that such nominee is . . . conservative.
The answer? Nominate a conservative and have Frist ram him or her through to the Court. No dodging or weaving by the President: he has the power to make the nominations, the nominee will be eminently qualified, so confirm Justice Brown/Clement/Owen/Jones/Garza/Roberts/Luttig asap.
