Sad but true: the Yanks still reek

Yes, as the NY Post said, Sean Henn laid an egg last night: he looked like a AA pitcher against major league hitters . . . how appropriate. I may be saying this the rest of the year: I saw this team was listless SIX GAMES into the season, when they were still 3-3!

Anyway, Dan Wetzel (link in title) had two great lines about these Yankees:

This lineup is so overpriced and listless you'd think Isiah Thomas had something to do with it.

Being the first team to blow a 3-0 playoff lead last year wasn't an aberration; it was a personality trait.


And he has a great stat that encapsulates a problem I noted here: "The always-say-die Yankees have gone down 1-2-3 in the ninth in each of their last six losses."

Yuck.
