Canard is not just French for duck
The most prominent canard recycled by advocates of socialized medicine in the US -- Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, single-payer system supporters -- is the "44 million" people without health insurance in the US. David Hogberg puts the lie to that by showing: (1) 20% of the "44 million" are not US citizens; (2) the Congressional Budget Office statistics show 21-31 million uninsured; (3) failure to count certain Medicaid recipients; (4) the temporary nature of many "uninsured" folks' status.
