What elitism? False bashing of Miers critics

Kathryn Lopez at National Review reprinted a list from Manny Miranda of the educational institutions that judges whom the conservative base preferred to Miers attended (college first, law school second):
Michael McConnell: Michigan State, U Chicago ...
Janice Rogers Brown: Cal State, UCLA ...
Michael Luttig, Washington and Lee, U. Va...
Alice Batchelder: Ohio Wesleyan, Akron...
Priscilla Owen, Baylor, Baylor ...
Edith Clement, Alabama, Tulane ...
Emilio Garza, Notre Dame, University of Texas...
Maura Corrigan, Marygrove, University of Detroit...
Karen Williams, Columbia College, University of South Carolina...
Larry Thompson, Michigan State, U. of Michigan ...
Consuelo Callahan: Stanford, McGeorge School of Law [U. of the Pacific]...
Diane Sykes, Northwestern, Marquette ...

Of all the buzz nominees, only two have an Ivy League connection:
Edith Jones, Cornell, University of Texas ...
Sam Alito - Princeton, Yale ...

The most elite double on that list other than the Ivy Leaguers is Garza who went to Notre Dame and UT law. Three of the least impressive (from a school brand-name perspective only) are Williams, Corrigan and Batchelder, all of whom the base preferred (so much for elitism) and all of whom are women (so much for sexism).
