Betty Castor has conceded defeat in the Florida Senate race. Republican Mel Martinez is the winner. This is another gain for Republicans in the Senate.
Castor was president of the University of South Florida. She stood by terrorist financier and mouthpiece Sami al-Arian, a USF professor, even after the Feds revealed the full extent of his terror ties in the federal indictment filed against al-Arian.
