Carrots alone don't work: the Iran example

Once again, Iran has thumbed its nose to the Brits, French and Germans regarding its nuclear program. No surprise. As I've noted in the past, Iran will just string the EU negotiators along, delay any action by the UN Security Council (as if that would work anyway) and never give up its intention to go nuclear. In other words, leaving the task of preventing Iran from going nuclear to feckless negotiations with the mullahs that have been subcontracted to the Europeans constitutes criminal neglect on the part of the Administration. Maybe Bush will use his mandate to quash the mullahcracy's dream; I hope so.
