Arafat - a man of courage

according to French President Jacques Chirac.
In Paris, President Jacques Chirac of France stood alone beside Mr. Arafat's body for about 10 minutes today in a last show of respect for a leader he hailed as a man of courage, Mr. Chirac's spokesman said, according to Reuters.

- A man of courage who was responsible for the murder of Israeli athletes in Munich in 1972,
- A man of courage who ordered the assassination of US diplomats in Sudan in 1973,
- A man of courage who was directly responsible for thousands of Palestinian and Israeli deaths when he refused a generous offer of peace from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and instead orchestrated the second intifada in 2000.
- A man of courage who scurried away hundreds of millions if not billions as 'his' people lived in abject poverty.
