Bet on the Aussies
Terrorists in Indonesia exploded a car bomb outside the Australian embassy in Jakarta today which killed eight weeks before the Indonesian and Australian elections. Observers believe that the attack was designed to remind Australians the price of being a staunch ally of the United States and, presumably, to encourage them to vote out Prime Minister John Howard. If the terrorists are hoping for Spain redux, they've got it dead wrong.
